How Much Funding Do We Receive?
Once your child is approved for Autism Funding, you’ll receive a Welcome Letter from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). This letter outlines how much money is available for your child and the exact dates that your funding year runs.
Under 6 Years Old
- Children under 6yo are eligible for up to $22,000 per annual funding period in Autism Funding.
Ages 6-18
Once your child turns 6, their funding automatically transitions to the school-age funding allotment, which provides $6,000 per year.
Finding Out Your Current Balance
You can check your funding balance anytime through the My Family Services Portal (MFSP).
- Log in with your BCeID.
- Go to
Autism Funding - Details
- You’ll see:
- Current contract amount
- Funds already paid
- Funds remaining
- Funding start and end dates
Troubleshooting
If something looks wrong (e.g., wrong dates or missing contract), call your regional CYSN office and ask for the Autism Funding Help Desk
